The Pride Rated editorial team publishes comparisons, reviews, and guides for LGBTQ+ readers across dating, travel, health, privacy, and everyday tools.

What we do

We research, compare, and review products and services that matter to LGBTQ+ readers. Our focus is on practical, verifiable information — prices, terms, features, and limitations — rather than marketing copy.

How we evaluate products

For comparison articles, we use three reader-relevant criteria and apply them consistently to every product. We publish the criteria on each article, along with the verification date. We do not use star ratings or composite scores. Instead, we name a top pick and "best for" recommendations by use case, with the reasoning spelled out.

Fact-checking

Prices, terms, availability, and feature claims are verified against official sources (provider websites, app store listings, government publications). We cite those sources in the article or its metadata. Where we cannot verify a claim, we either remove it or mark it "not confirmed."

We do not fabricate tests, hands-on reviews, speed measurements, or personal anecdotes. Articles that rely on official documentation and public reporting rather than independent testing say so explicitly.

Editorial independence

Affiliate partnerships never determine what we cover, how we rank products, or what we say about them. Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial relationships. See oureditorial policy andaffiliate disclosure.

Update policy

Articles display "Published" and "Updated" dates. High-volatility categories (VPN pricing, eSIM plans, legal frameworks) are reviewed every 30-90 days. Evergreen content is reviewed every 6 months. When we correct a factual error, we note the change in the article.
